Quick Performance Summary

The R36S can emulate a wide range of retro gaming systems. Performance varies significantly depending on the hardware demands of each platform.

  • Best for: 8-bit, 16-bit, and PS1 games (full speed, no issues)
  • Good for: Nintendo DS (~80% of tested games run well)
  • Worth a try, with caveats: Dreamcast (~59%) and N64 (~63%) both run a substantial part of their libraries but not the whole of it, and PSP is a curated set of lighter 2D titles rather than a library
  • Not recommended: GameCube, PS2, Wii, 3DS (hardware limitations)
